The Retired Employees Association of Jacksonville

Approximately 3,200 retired and current city employees and their beneficiaries belong to the City of Jacksonville Retired Employees Association. Members receive benefits from the General Employees and Correctional Officers Pension Plan and from the Police and Fire Pension Plan; and the association is looking for more members.

Eligibility

Any person who has retired from active employment with the City of Jacksonville, or any of its independent agencies and who is receiving a pension payment from any pension plan in effect at the time of that person’s active employment is eligible for membership in the Association.

Membership Dues

Each member pays annual dues in the amount of $19.50 through payroll deduction in biweekly installments of $0.75 for those members receiving pension benefits and associate members through the City of Jacksonville payroll department.
